Questions before instructing an expert
How do clinical and forensic psychology differ?
Forensic assessment addresses a question connected with proceedings. Its recipients, sources and limits are defined from the outset. Clinical care seeks diagnosis for treatment and ongoing care. This website presents expert services.
Do I need a lawyer to make an enquiry?
You can contact us directly. If you already have a lawyer, we coordinate the scope and deadlines with them. Counsel considers the procedural relevance of the report.
How much does an expert psychological assessment cost?
The fee depends on the question, people to assess, volume of records, travel and court testimony. We provide a proposal setting out scope, stages and fees before the instruction.
How long does a report take?
Timing is agreed after reviewing scope and the availability of records and interviews. Tell us about hearings or procedural deadlines at first contact. Urgent work is accepted only after assessing feasibility.
Can the report be explained in court?
Yes. Preparation and attendance to explain the report are agreed in the instruction. In-person or remote attendance depends on the procedure and the court’s authorisation.
Do you work outside Madrid?
We are based in Madrid. We consider instructions across Spain and international matters according to scope, language and requirements. Remote interviews are used only when appropriate for the assessment.
Can you guarantee a favourable opinion?
No. Conclusions depend on findings and limitations of the information. Professional independence also requires explaining evidence that does not support the instructing party’s position.
What should I send at first contact?
The type of matter, procedural stage, deadline and whether a report already exists are enough. We will then agree how to provide records. Avoid children’s details, diagnoses or sensitive documents in the initial message.
What does your
case need to clarify?
Tell us the type of matter, its stage and any deadline. We start by defining how we can help.
